COVID-19: What measures Mai Salon have taken
Dear Clients,
We understand that there will be concerns whether it's safe to enter our premises after the lockdown. We can assure you that we have taken extra precautions to ensure a safe and clean environment for our team and customers. Our salon has had a professional sanitation service done throughout and we have initiated a sanitising routine on all areas that staff and customers come into contact with in the salon. We have made some changes to the way we operate. The below outlines our requirements and precautionary measures.
Booking an Appointment at Mai Salon
Appointments ONLY subject to stylist availability. Unfortunately we won't be taking on any walk-in appointments at this present time.
Due to high demand as well as our new sanitising routine and staggered appointment system, it may be a longer wait for an appointment so please be patient when booking with us. We will be prioritising all our clients who had to be cancelled due to temporary closure and those who have requested to be on our call back list.
To adhere the government guidelines on social distancing there will be less staff working until further notice. We may not be able to answer the phone straight away so please leave us a voicemail with your name and contact number and we will call back at as soon as we can.
BEFORE MAKING OR ATTENDING AN APPOINTMENT AT OUR SALONS, PLEASE ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
Do you have any cold or flu-like symptoms? Are you, or is anyone close to you, feeling unwell? If so, please seek medical advice.
If you are in the high risk category or live with someone in this sector, please do not come in.
For the safety of yourself and our team members, please wear a mask to your appointment (appointments will be rescheduled if no mask is worn). You also will be asked to wash your hands upon entering the salon. Please do not arrive to your appointment before scheduled time as our waiting area won't be in use, we ask that you observe social distancing rules when entering. Guest will not be allowed to be accompanied in the salon.
PLEASE NOTE : Some services may not be offered until further notice. All clients would probably need more than your standard appointment. Most cuts will be considered as a 'Restyle Cut' prices. Colouring Services may need more time spent on it for over grown roots (whether it is highlights or a block colour), this will be charged as 'Long Hair' prices. Incorrect online bookings will be charged the additional amount in-store.

Precautions Against Coronavirus at Mai Salon
Hand Sanitizer is available at all stations.
We have extended appointment times as we have introduced new sanitising routine after each client.
The team will be wearing masks/ face shields.
All magazines have been removed from the salon. Please feel free to bring in your own magazine, book or tablet/ ipad to your appointment.
Refreshments drinks won't be available for the time being.
We will be using disposable cape/ gowns.
Anti-Bacterial hand wash has replaced our normal hand wash in all toilets and will remain in place.
The salon is regularly cleaned every day. We will continue cleaning the salons to our usual high standard and use anti-bacterial spray-on door handles, handrails, toilet flushes, taps and other areas of multiple contact. We will continue this practice throughout the day and all areas of contact are cleaned with anti-bacterial products between clients.
Our Reception team will ensure that the credit card machines are cleaned regularly using anti-bacterial wipes.
To comply with social distancing guidelines, we have placed protective screens up in between each styling chair.
We are constantly monitoring the government guidelines regarding COVID-19 and will update our social media and website accordingly. We value your co-operation and happy to talk to you about any concerns you may have. Stay vigilant, Stay safe and continue using hygienic practices.
